Nine new Covid-19 cases, four more recoveries reported Tuesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports 9 new cases of Covid-19 Tuesday.

One additional positive case and death have been reassigned to the person’s county of residence. Meaning there have been 9 covid-19 related deaths among local residents.

Health officials are monitoring 70 active cases. Of the total cases reported since the start of the pandemic, 411 cases were contracted through contact with a known case, 162 connected to travel, and 90 a result of community transmission. There are 32 cases still being investigated.

On a more encouraging note, four more recoveries were also reported bringing that number to 616.
