HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports 19 new cases of covid-19 Friday. The total case count has risen to 730 with health officials monitoring 94 active cases.
Of the total cases, 416 people contracted the virus through contact with a known case, 166 are travel related, and 90 a result of community transmission. There are 58 cases under investigation.
On a more encouraging note, 7 more recoveries were reported bringing that number to 627.
