48 new Covid-19 cases reported in Humboldt County since Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 48 new cases of Covid-19 since Friday bringing the total case count to 898. More than 300 cases have been reported just in the month of November.

Health officials are monitoring 124 active cases. Five new hospitalizations have also been reported. Of the total cases, 452 had contact to a known case, 175 are travel related, and 90 a result of community transmission. There are 181 cases still being investigated. On a more encouraging note, 92 recoveries were reported since Friday bringing that total number to 765.

As of 5:45pm, the county dashboard has not been updated as far as the geographic locations and age range of cases. We’ll update you as soon as we learn more.
