HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports 21 new cases of Covid-19 Tuesday. The total case count has risen to 919 with health officials monitoring 130 active cases.
The weekly data on the county dashboard has been updated, but does not include the cases reported Tuesday. In the last week, 15 cases have been reported in northern Humboldt, 95 more cases in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 4 cases in southern Humboldt.
The greatest weekly increase has been among people in their 20’s with 52 new cases followed by people in their 30’s with 25 cases. Both people 10 to 19 years old and people in their 40’s saw 9 new cases.
People in their 60’s saw 8 new cases, 50 year olds saw 5, and people in their 70’s saw 4 new cases in the last week. Kids under 10 years old and people 80 years old or older saw 1 new case each.
On a more encouraging note, 15 more recoveries were also reported bringing that number to 780.
