First 5 Humboldt and the Humboldt County Office of Education have teamed up to publish a book

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)- The group First 5 Humboldt and the Humboldt County Office of Education have teamed up to publish a book to help families talk to their children about the COVID-19 pandemic.

The book is called “Our Play and Plan Journal”.

This 22-page book includes activities to help kids learn and talk about COVID-19 in a fun and interactive way.

The HCOE says that the book will help kids express themselves with their families.

“As we know, young children really are helped with having opportunities to really interact with ideas,” said Meg Walkley, a Children and Family Support Specialist at the Humboldt County Office of Education. “So, we wanted to encourage that for families.”
