Sato named CCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Scholar-Athlete

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) – The California Collegiate Athletic Association announced the recipient of the 2020 CCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Scholar-Athlete award.

The honor goes to Motoki Sato. He is a junior on the Humboldt State Men’s Soccer Team. The award is given to the athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating in the championship.

Sato is the fourth Lumberjack and first HSU soccer player to earn the award. He also earned the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award in 2019 in addition to being named to the CCAA Fall Academic Team.
