Applebee’s cited for violating Covid restrictions

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – For the first time since the pandemic began, the City of Eureka has fined a restaurant for violating the City’s Covid-19 regulations.

Specifically, the one that forbids indoor dining.  City officials say the Applebee’s on Broadway was fined $1,500 dollars- $500 dollars for each of three days of violating the regulation last week.

The restaurant has now set up an outdoor dining area.

Management at the Eureka Applebee’s declined to comment and referred us to their corporate office.  We have yet to hear back.
