Skeletal remains found in Garberville

GARBERVILLE, Ca. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that skeletal remains were found last week at a home near Garberville.

Deputies were dispatched to the home on the 300 block of Road D, after a neighbor called in for a welfare check. 

The neighbor said he hadn’t seen or heard from the 79 year old male resident for about two months.

Deputies used a search and rescue K-9 officer, and found skeletal remains on the property.

Officials believe the remains at those of the person who lived there. 

No foul play is suspected and the victim’s identity will be released once it is confirmed by officials.
