17th Covid-19 related death, 27 additional cases reported in Humboldt County Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms the 17th Covid-19 related death Wednesday. The resident was in their 80’s and died out of the County.

27 additional cases were also reported Wednesday. The total case count is now 1,539 with health officials monitoring 466 active cases.

There are 6 people currently in the hospital with Covid-19, and 2 of those people are in the ICU. The Northern California region’s ICU capacity is at 28.8%.

On a more encouraging note, 64 more recoveries were also reported bringing that total number to 1,056.
