$27 million dollar grant available to combat impaired driving

SACRAMENTO, Ca.  (KIEM) – The California Highway Patrol today announced 27 million dollars is now available to help communities fight impaired driving.

The money comes from the State tax on the sales of cannabis and cannabis products.

The money will be used to enhance policies already in place to address impaired driving.

California Highway Patrol will hold a virtual workshop on January 6th, to address questions about the grants.  Applications will begin on the 7th.
