34 new Covid-19 cases, 4 more recoveries reported Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reported 34 new cases of Covid-19 Friday. The total case count stands at 2,031 with health officials tracking 662 active cases.

One person previously reported as a positive case turned out to be negative, and suffering from an unrelated illness. The case has been removed from the total case count. One new hospitalization was reported Friday. Eight people are currently hospitalized and two are in the ICU.

The state has issued an updated travel advisory strongly discouraging all non-essential travel. If you choose to travel to another state or any of California’s 58 counties, you need to self-quarantine for a minimum of 10 days upon arrival.

Four more recoveries were also reported bringing that total number to 1,346.
