Former HSU Lumberjack featured in Pro Football Hall of Fame display

CANTON, Ohio (KIEM) – The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its latest display, which features a former Humboldt State University Lumberjack.

Robert Prince’s game-worn visor and polo shirt will be featured in the Pro Football Today Gallery. On December 26, the Detroit Lions wide receivers coach became the first person to assume the role of interim head coach due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He took over after Head Coach Darrell Bevell was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list as a close contact. Prince led the Lions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ultimately falling 47-7.

Prince was a graduate assistant at Humboldt State from 1989 to 1990. He graduated in 1990, earning his master’s degree from HSU in 1992. He has been with the Detroit Lions since 2014, making multiple stops at the collegiate and professional levels since his time on the North Coast.
