Attempted murder suspect arrested

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Eureka police have arrested a suspect, wanted in connection with a shooting incident last week.

26 year old, Braylen Lanier of Eureka was taken into custody yesterday. Lanier is accused of shooting a 37 year old man the 100 block of West Del Norte Street.

That man had several gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital.  He’s now in stable condition.

When police arrested Lanier, they found heroin, fentanyl and a loaded handgun in his possession.
