Local surf shop burglarized, police looking for suspect

CRESENT CITY, Calif. (KIEM)- A surf shop located on the 500-block of L Street in Crescent City was burglarized early Thursday morning. 

While out patrolling, Crescent City police officers discovered Boys Surf and Skate’s front window broken, according to their Police Chief Richard Griffin.

The owners have yet to complete their inventory but can confirm a Santa Cruz longboard, like the one depicted in the above photo, was stolen from inside the business.

Griffin says they are reviewing surveillance video and says they will find those responsible.

“Were just asking anybody to look at the photographs of the skateboard that was taken, with some distinct stickers on the back of it, and if you know who has it or who might have done this just give us a call please,” he said.  “The message to them is come clean with it were going to be working till we find you and if you’d like to come meet with us to return the property, it’s the right thing to do.”
