30 new Covid-19 cases, 22 more recoveries reported in Humboldt County since Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department has reported 30 new cases of Covid-19 since Friday. The total case count is 3,210. Health officials are tracking 134 active cases.

In the last week, 36 new cases have been reported in northern Humboldt, 38 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 11 more cases in southern Humboldt. Of the total cases, 48% are male and 51% are female. For one percent of cases, gender is unknown. The mean age is 37.

The biggest weekly increase has been among people 10 to 19 years old with 19 new cases reported followed by people in their 40’s with 18 new cases. People in their 20’s still make up the highest percentage of local cases.
