New traffic light now live, Motorists will not experience significant impact on stretch of road, Caltrans says

Eureka, Calif. (KIEM)-The new traffic signal at 4th and L streets went live Monday just before noon.

Caltrans workers have blocked off access to L street off 4th, on both sides of the road to mitigate any potential vehicle crashes while motorists adapt to the new stop light.

The signal installed along southbound U.S. 101 should help reduce crashes and improve pedestrian safety in that area.
