Updated 62-year-old animal ordinance in the works, police ask for public input

(KIEM)

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)-A current Eureka City Animal Ordinance written 62-years-ago needs an update, and the Eureka Police Department want the publics input.

EPD will host a virtual public ordinance meeting to introduce and discuss the proposed animal ordinance on Tuesday March 9th at 5 p.m.

The ordinance has only had small updates within the past three decades, the reason EPD want to draft an updated version that fits our current times.

The workshop will cover the proposed changes and offer the public a chance to make comments.
