Man rescued after getting stuck in between rocks in King Salmon

KING SALMON, Calif. (KIEM) – A man suffered minor injuries after getting stuck in between rocks near King Salmon.

Humboldt County Sheriff deputies and the Coast Guard responded to a report of a man possibly drowning at about 6:40 pm on Wednesday.

Once officials arrived on the scene, they determined the man was stuck in the rocks and deputies were able to assist and get him out of the rocks.

According to witnesses, the man was fishing off the shoreline and somehow fell into the rocks.

Sergeant Matthew Halm said they responded to the scene to help get the man get out of the rocks and prevent him from falling into the water or get any further injuries. Humboldt County Sherriff’s Deputies stood by for the medical team to arrive on the scene.
