Five suspects arrested in connection to a Drug Ring in Hoopa Valley

Hoopa Valley, Ca. (KIEM) – Five suspects have been arrested after the Humboldt County Drug Task Force broke up a drug ring that was selling Perc 30 pills- which are laced with Fentanyl- in the Hoopa Valley.

On Monday in Willow Creek, agents were watching 24 year old Anthony Dion Medina of Eureka after he returned from a trip to Fresno. Medina is accused of transporting thousands of Perc 30 pills with the intent to sell them.

Veronica Morales-Rangel

His girlfriend, 22 year old Veronica Morales-Rangel of Chico was also arrested.

As part of the month-long investigation, three more suspects from Hoopa were arrested and charged with selling the pills in the area.

23 year old Warren Sloan, 23 year old Christian Colgrove, and an unidentified 17 year old.

A 13 year old almost died from overdosing on a Perc 30 pill that he had brought from Colegrove/

Medina, Morales-Rangel, and Colegrove are currently in the Humboldt County Jail.
