Redwood Canoe tours resume in June, if all goes to plan

KLAMATH, Calif. (KIEM)-The Yurok Tribe plans to resume redwood canoe tours beginning in June, if everything goes to plan.

The tours were on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

two canoes, which hold three passengers each, are expected to run three tours daily Wednesday through Sunday beginning June 2nd and continue through September 5th.

The tours begin at the Yurok Visitor Center then guests are then given a boat safety briefing and outfitted with a personal floating device before taking a short trip to the launch site.

Tours start at about $150 wiht discounts available for Yurok Tribal Members.
