CR hosts 2021 Juried Student Exhibition virtually

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- The College of the Redwoods Art Gallery is hosting its second virtual Juried Student Exhibition

Usually, CR’s gallery program hosts an annual juried student show every spring semester in person, but because of the pandemic, the event has transitioned to a virtual show.

The annual exhibition gives students the opportunity to showcase their work in a professional context and get feedback from professional artists from outside the college.

The exhibition also includes cash rewards and gift certificates and is supported by many local arts organizations and arts-related businesses.

“This showcase is to recognize our artists and commend our faculty for guiding them through this last academic year,” said Ruth Jensen, the Gallery Director for College of the Redwoods.

The exhibition will begin on April 13 and go through May 13 and it is free and open to the public.
