DEL NORTE COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-The “Johnson & Johnson” vaccine, now on pause after rare reports of blood clots in women, has prompted Del Norte County Public Health to follow suit, and hold their doses until further notice.

According to the Del Norte County’s Public Health Officer Dr. Warren Rehwaldt, the county will offer the Moderna vaccine in its place.

As for the J&J vaccine currently on-hand, those doses will be stored until further guidance from the federal and state government. A link to a brief presentation on the covid-19 vaccine can be found by clicking here.
