Lost Coast Brewery reopening its taproom in Eureka this weekend

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — Lost Coast Brewery is re-opening its taproom in Eureka this weekend for the first time in over a year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The taproom will open Saturday April 17th from 1 to 7 pm. Moving forward, it will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 7 pm. Social distancing and face masks will be required.

The brewery choose not to open at all during the pandemic because of the constantly changing restrictions for the different Covid-19 tiers. Marketing and Graphic Design Director Chris Pennington says both national and international sales helped them through it.

“We didn’t feel comfortable with the yo-yo. You know, this is the first time all of these businesses all over the country are experiencing this pandemic and it’s hard to predict and judge. Instead of jumping back into the game we decided to just hold our cards and wait, and we’re very proud of that,” Pennington says.

Pennington tells Redwood News they hope to have the restaurant on 4th street back up and running this summer.
