Unemployment numbers for the month of March

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Unemployment numbers for the month of March have been released by the State Employment Development Department.

Humboldt County is at 6.7 percent, which means 4,000 people are out of work.

Del Norte County is at 8.3 percent, which means 770 people are out of work.

The State’s unemployment rate is now 8.2 percent, down from 8.4 percent in February.

The U.S. unemployment rate is at 6.2 percent for March, down from 6.6 percent in February.
