PG&E customers will have a lower bill this month thanks to the California Climate Credit

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — PG&E customers should expect their utility bills for this month to be a little lower thanks to the California Climate Credit. The credit was created by the California Public Utilities Commission and is part of the state’s efforts to combat climate change.

If you receive both natural gas and electric service this month, you’ll see a discount of $41.82.  For only natural gas, the discount will be $17.20. The credit will automatically be added to your bill for either April or May depending on your billing cycle. The distribution of the credit was sped up in response to increased energy use at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
