EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)-It’s official, the Sequoia Park Zoo announced Friday, the long-awaited opening of the Redwood Skywalk, and it’s less than a month away.
Starting Friday May 14,Sequoia Park Zoo visitors will have access to the Redwood Skywalk experience. One ticket will allow entry, for both visitors and members to access the zoo and the Redwood Skywalk.
The price of admission has increased; however, special access program rates will ensure community members have a chance to experience all the zoo has to offer.
A grand-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on June 4th, followed by a weekend filled with special activities to celebrate the newest and tallest attraction in Humboldt County, according to zoo officials.
Eureka city officials say they are excited to have a new world-class attraction in Eureka.
Councilmember Kim Bergel got a chance to experience the zoo’s new attraction this week.
“It’s really high-up, I did go on the adventure leg, that was a little bit wonky, but it was totally cool, definitely an adventure,” she said. “I am so grateful to be here, It is worth the wait and
