EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Emergency Operations Center announced it will be dismantling the Alternate Care Site at Redwood Acres in Eureka.

The site was set up early in the pandemic out of an abundance of caution to support the local health care system. The idea was that if there was any sort of surge in hospitalizations, up to 90 Covid-19 positive patients could have been cared for at the ACS.
