Sixty-three new Covid-19 cases, 16 more recoveries reported in Humboldt County since Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department has reported 63 new cases of Covid-19 since Friday. The total case count has risen to 4,135. Health officials are tracking 232 active cases. Four new hospitalizations were also added to the county dashboard since Friday.

In the last week, 22 new cases were reported in northern Humboldt, 126 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and seven more cases down in southern Humboldt. The biggest weekly increase has been among 20-year-olds with 40 new cases reported followed by people 10 to 19-year-olds with 35 new cases. Sixteen more recoveries were also reported since Friday bringing that total number to 3,861.
