
ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM)- The saga of the proposed cannabis farm in Arcata Bottoms continues.
After about seven hours of discussion during the board of supervisors meeting yesterday, it was decided to hold off on a decision on the Sun Valley’s proposal for the eight-acre cannabis farm.

One of the organizations that attended the meeting was Team 27th and their concern is that there needs to be an environmental impact report.

“They didn’t prove that there wouldn’t be a significant impact on our community,” said Rebecca Crow, member of Team 27th. “So, there is multiple layers of concern from different members that really haven’t be addressed.”

The next meeting about the cannabis farm will be held on July 13.
