ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM) – A police officer for Humboldt State University is now the subject of an investigation.
The unidentified officer is being accused of using excessive force while dealing with someone who was sleeping outside of H.S.U’s Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center in Eureka on July 8th.
The officer is now on paid administrative leave while the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office investigates the matter.
H.S.U. declined to comment.
