EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- The wet weather means an increase in calls for local tow truck companies. They say it’s one of the busiest times of the year. The rainy weather typically leads to car crashes and other troubles along the road.
Pacific towing in Eureka mentions that this year has been busier than they have in previous years. Yesterday’s rainy day brought in more than 40 AAA calls.
It’s always recommended that you slow down and give yourself plenty of time when you’re driving on wet roads.
“The spike this month, yeah. And it’s just that people are not slowing down. I would say 90 percent of people are not slowing down due to the weather, and we also have DUI drivers. We have had a couple of DUI wrecks during the day and mid-afternoon,” said Josh Cummings, Operations Manager at Pacific Towing.
