Let Out Your Inner Child at the Redwood Discovery Museum’s Adult Night

Eureka, calif. (KIEM)- The Redwood Discovery Museum is hosting adult night tomorrow night from 7 pm to 9 pm. The fundraising event will be serving drinks and welcoming adults to enjoy the museum, alongside local performers.

A chance for you to let out your inner child while also giving back to the community. That is what adult night at the Redwood Discovery Museum is all about.

“It’s going to be a really fun evening full of drinks, cocktails, desserts, and dance performances from local dancers in Humboldt,” said Stephanie Carter, the Executive Director at the Redwood Discovery Museum. “We’re also going to be having a silent auction with a lot of amazing donation items.”

All the money made at the fundraiser goes back into the organization.

“It is a fundraiser, so all the proceeds from adult night are going into exhibits and programs and camps and scholarships,” said Carter. “We’re hoping to elevate the experience of the kids and the families here, and adult night is how we can do that.”

The Redwood Discovery Museum is the only children’s museum in Humboldt County. Providing an important space for learning, growing, and discovery.

“We want to be able to bring an experience that’s going to really inspire the next generation of world leaders and doctors and scientists and entrepreneurs and artists. We want to be able to show them the world of opportunity that’s available to them.”

Also, coming up on Monday, October 31. From 10 am to 2 pm the museum is having an exciting Halloween event.

“We’re having our first Halloween bash… with a costume contest and Trick or treat. Is it chocolate-covered broccoli or is it chocolate-covered marshmallows? We’re really excited to offer that this year.”

Tickets for tomorrow night’s event are available on the Redwood Discovery Museum website.
