North Coast Weather Forecast: Thursday, August 31st

As we go through the rest of our Thursday, we are looking to have more scattered showers, but will be on the light side, almost coming across as a light drizzle in many areas in lower elevations. Temperatures will drop to the 50s for lows and winds will be steady from the northwest around five to ten miles per hour. For our Friday, we are looking to have more rain showers moving and developing across the North Coast viewing area. Heavier rain showers and a pop up thunderstorm or two could develop further inland. Temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s across the region and winds will continue to come from a northwestern direction around five to ten miles per hour. Scattered rain showers are expected to stick around the region as we get through the first half of this weekend. More rain fall can be expected further inland with this particular system. And while thunderstorms could develop, they aren’t expected to be numerous nor starting more fires. Getting into the first half of next week, we will have temperatures in the 60s through 80s for highs around the North Coast with a mix of sun and clouds. Smoke will continue to be in the area, but is expected to be less dense with the rain fall.
