Taylor graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting and political science. Just a week after graduation, Taylor packed up her things and moved up to Eureka. She is excited to be starting her career here on the North Coast, and ready to take in all that Humboldt County has to offer.
During her time at USC, she took on a variety of roles in the student-run newsroom for Annenberg TV News. She has experience as a reporter, multimedia journalist, producer, and on-air anchor. When it comes to politics, she had the opportunity to cover the 2016 presidential election and 2018 midterm elections as a student journalist. In addition, she spent 6 months abroad studying journalism and public relations at the University of London.
Taylor was born and raised in Stockton, California. Her passion for news grew from watching local Sacramento stations with her parents each morning before school. She is drawn to the idea of telling stories for a local audience and couldn’t imagine a better place to do that than right here in Eureka.
Outside of work, you can find Taylor strolling the aisles of a bookstore, trying new coffee shops, or binge watching a new series on Netflix.
