Susan Seaman officially announces candidacy for Mayor of Eureka

Eureka., Ca- A new candidate is now in the race for Mayor of Eureka. Susan Seaman announces her candidacy yesterday,

At the Clarke Plaza in front of nearly fifty people she was introduced by the former mayor of Trinidad, Julie Fulkerson. Seaman has served as Arcata’s Economic Development Corporation Program Director since 2007, but has over 20-years of community outreach experience in Humboldt County.

She serves on the city of Eureka’s Economic Development Commission and was the 2016 Ambassador for the California Association of Local Economic Development. Her vision for her city is long term growth and prosperity, powered by young adults who want to live and work here.

At the heart of her campaign seaman wants to support organizations that are making a positive impact in the community. Seaman says quote “a healthy economy and workforce are the critical first step to any sustainable future.  End quote. Seaman is running against Heidi Messner.
