The county has put out a survey to the public for their input on how to better meet the needs of their customers. They say their goal is to attract and support new businesses that can efficiently connect with the global economy.

They want to increase airline passenger and air cargo service as well as corporate aviation access. This comes after Penair airlines pulled out abruptly from the Humboldt County airport and filed for bankruptcy.

The county says that failing to recognize the need for reliable air service to and from Humboldt County will result in further economic isolation.

The survey will be available until September 22. To participate,
