Arcata police make arrest in Eureka following high-speed pursuit

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Arcata police make an arrest in Eureka following a high-speed pursuit on Highway 101.

While responding to a reported robbery at the Ramada Inn, Arcata police spotted a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description as it was leaving the scene, just before 9:30PM on Friday.

When officers attempted to stop the dark colored van, the driver fled, leading police on a chase from Arcata to Eureka.

The pursuit ended at the Shell gas station on 4th and V Streets. According to police, they determined the driver was not involved in the robbery.

The reason why she fled is under investigation, and she was taken into custody for driving recklessly.
