Construction of New HSRC in Fortuna Now Underway

FORTUNA, Ca. (KIEM) – The construction of a new Adult Day Health and Redwood Coast PACE Center is now underway.

It’s a partnership between the Humboldt Senior Resource Center and the McLean Foundation. Work on the new building began last month. The new facility will be located by Rohnerville Road and Newburg Road, right next to the Gene Lucas Community Center.

It’s expected to be 16,000 square feet. The new building will also include an expansive outdoor space. With this new facility, it will be able to provide services for seniors in Fortuna.

The new facility is expected to be completed by December.
