Three Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Humboldt County

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM)– Three people are behind bars for reportedly trafficking heroin throughout Humboldt County.

After several reports and a multi-week investigation, special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a motel along the 800 block of Main Street in Fortuna.

Upon arrival, agents witnessed 24-year-old Marcus Coles leaving a motel room associated to 25-year-old Brett Mehrtens and Cheyenne Silva-Lovfald.

Upon agents contact with Coles, he dropped a bag of suspected heroin.

While investigating the room, agents located over an ounce of suspected heroin, several grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and other packaging material.

All three were booked for narcotics violations.

Mehrtens was also booked for committing a felony while on bail.
