KHUM’s Cliff Berkowitz Running for District 1 Supervisor

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – A new candidate is stepping up and challenging incumbent Supervisor Rex Bohn for the position of District One Supervisor.

KHUM’s DJ Cliff Berkowitz is also joining in the race for the position. Berkowtiz has been involved in the media scene for over four decades.

Some issues that Berkowitz plan to tackle include climate change, affordable housing, and local trails.

Eighteen-year-old Elias Garcia is also running for District One Supervisor.

Berkowitz acknowledged that there will be some challenges that lie ahead. Next week, Berkowitz will be having his campaign kickoff at Sequoia Park.

He will be stepping down from KHUM in November.
