Governor sends beds for alternate care sit at Redwood Acres

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM) – An alternate care site for non-critical COVID-19 patients is being constructed at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds.

The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services delivered one hundred beds to the fairgrounds in the event that local hospitals may be heavily impacted with patients who have COVID-19.

The alternate care site will create more bed space, as well as provide more equipment and support for staff.
