July 17th Decision Looms Over CR Athletics

One date looms over College of the Redwoods Athletics. On July 17th, the CCCAA will decide the fate of fall sports.

Athletic Director Bob Brown said that CR is currently in a conventional plan phase. If the fall semester is deemed unsafe for athletics to move forward, the contingency plan will be used. This would move all sports to second semester.

Brown said if all sports shift to the spring, the only team that could possibly compete is cross country. CR athletes are still continuing to prepare for their respective seasons regardless of the outcome. Brown also said it is too soon to consider having fans in the stands for these events, while the future of athletics is still unclear.
