Celebrate the 2nd Annual Biodiversity Day a With Week-Long “Bio-Blitz”

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – California State Parks are celebrating the Second Annual California Biodiversity Day by kicking off a week-long “Bio-Blitz” from September 5th to 12^th.

Residents are invited to visit Prarie Creek Redwoods and Humboldt Redwoods State Parks and collect information on the biodiversity they see using the free inaturalist app.

Observations will be uploaded to a database, and the park that is the biodiversity champion will announce a winner on September 13^th.
