29 new Covid-19 cases, 17 more recoveries reported since Tuesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 29 new cases of Covid-19 since Tuesday. The total case county has increased to 653 with health officials monitoring 66 active cases.

Two new hospitalizations have been reported. One of those individuals traveled here from out of the area and is now hospitalized here. With their permanent residence in another county, their status will not be included in local data.

Of the total cases, 397 people had contact to a known case, 160 were travel related, and 87 a result of community transmission. On a more encouraging note, 17 more recoveries have been reported bringing that number to 577.
