31 new Covid-19 cases, 8 more recoveries reported Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 31 new cases of Covid-19 Friday bringing the county’s total case count to 850. Health officials are monitoring 168 active cases.

Two new hospitalizations were reported as well. Of the total cases, 451 people contracted the virus through contact with a known case, 175 are travel related, and 90 a result of community transmission. There are 134 cases still under investigation.

On a more encouraging note, 8 more recoveries were also reported bringing that number to 673. A reminder for residents, the state’s limited stay at home order is now officially in affect for Humboldt County.
