65 new Covid-19 cases, 34 more recoveries reported since Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports 65 new cases of Covid-19 since Friday. Three previous cases were determined to be from out of the County and another was a duplicate. The total case count is 2,815 with health officials tracking 335 active cases.

In the last week, 34 more cases have been reported in northern Humboldt, 140 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 17 more cases in southern Humboldt. The average age has dropped to 37. As far as gender breakdown, 52% of cases are in women and 47% are in men. Gender is unknown for 1% of cases.

The biggest weekly increase has been among people 10 to 19 years old with 38 cases reported followed by 30year olds with 34 cases. Three new hospitalizations were reported.
