Vote Set to Replace Vice Mayor

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) The city of Arcata is now planning a June primary vote to fill a vacancy on The City Council. That election will determine a replacement for the Vice Mayor, who announced her resignation at last week’s council meeting. Emily Grace Goldstein told fellow city council members she is stepping down due to family medical issues. She also plans to leave Humboldt County, citing what she calls poor local health care options.
