Eureka Flags Half Staffed For Local Business Man’s Memory

Eureka, California — By order of the Eureka mayor, Kim Bergel, all flags at city facilities will be flown at half-staff on Thursday, July 27, 2023 in honor Leon Thomas Warmuth, founder of Leon’s Auto Care Center. Warmuth, a self-made businessman and generous contributor to the city, died last week.

In a statement, Mayor Bergel said “Leon was a great asset to the city of Eureka and his humor and love for our city will be missed. Eureka is a better city because of Leon and the Warmuth family.”

Flags will remain at half-staff through Thursday. The mayor, councilmembers, and city staff extend their condolences to the Warmuth family.
