North Coast Weather Forecast: Monday, August 14th

Hot temperatures could be felt across the North Coast viewing area today, with some cities well into the triple digits further inland. For the rest of the evening, we are looking to have an increase in clouds across the North Coast, and coastal cities are expected to have foggy and misty conditions. Lows will drop to the 50s and 60s and winds will be on the calm side. To kick off our Tuesday, we are looking to have a bit of a cloudy start to the day, then plenty of sunshine by the later morning hours. Temperatures will be in the 70s through 100s and winds will continue to be more on the calm side. For the rest of the week, we will continue to slowly decrease our temperatures, but will remain in the triple digits for the inland cities, dropping to 100 degrees by Friday for a high. A mix of sun and clouds is anticipated for the viewing area, and a few isolated thunderstorms look to develop for inland areas around Trinity and Humboldt county. Heat alerts will remain in effect for most of the viewing area into late Wednesday evening. This upcoming weekend is looking to be a bit on the cooler side, with highs only in the 60s through 90s with a mix of sun and clouds for the coast and mostly sunny skies inland.
