Cal Poly Humboldt Campus remains closed through the weekend

Cal Poly Humboldt announced the campus will remain closed through the weekend due to an ongoing protest.

The announcement came as the pro-Palestinian protest entered its third day of occupation of Siemens Hall.

Class instructions will remain remote for the time being as the university makes plans for the possibility of a longer closure beyond the weekend.

The University stated in the announcement that “the safety, health and wellbeing of our students is paramount as the situation has become increasingly complex” citing “unidentified non-students with unknown intentions” within Siemens Hall.

Events scheduled for this week have been canceled along with other activities.

It is unknown when the campus will reopen.
